Auyan Tepui
Auyantepuy is the cradle of the magnificent Angel Falls (Kerapakupay Merú), the highest waterfall in the world, with almost 1,000 mts High. The magnificence and imposing energy of this mountain mass is unique.
Also called The Devils Mountain by the Arekuna natives, this 700Km2 Tepuy is a world to explore, full of surprises and different landscapes every day. The walks through the open and treeless savannas, are preceded by ascents through dense forests filled with enormous trees, and passes through rives packed of colors and shapes. Once you get to the summit you realize that the mountain top is a plateau full of mountains, rivers, caves and stone formations amazing to explore.
Along the ascent, the stunning views of the savannas will free your mind, and you will be able to enjoy the different views of the vertical walls of this colossal tepuy. The red water rivers, full of colors and shapes are particularly beautiful and special. And the sensation of immensity is unique. For the lovers of good photography, the landscapes are varied and sublime.

Auyantepuy is just and amazing experience. It is overwhelm when you get to the top after a long walk and you see the dimensions of the tepuy. The Akanan?s logistics is great, the guide (Arturo) very professional and the porters team (pemones) are excellent. It is a great experience, but not for rookies, because it is needed a good physical condition and the adequate technical equipment.
